Cable management for News International
Legrand, a world specialist in products and systems for electrical installations and information networks, has ensured the presses will keep rolling at News International’s new printing press halls in Knowsley, near Liverpool, by supplying a cable management solution that incorporates tray, trunking and ladder. Once open the 14,000sq m site, which is one of three being developed by the global media giant across the UK at a combined cost of £650million, will be used to print a range of local, regional and national newspapers, including the News of the World, The Sun, The Sunday Times and The Times. "The scale of this development really does need to be seen to be believed, but suffice to say that when complete the 20 new triple width presses across the three sites will have the capability to each produce 86,000 copies per hour and a staggering total of 36million, full-colour newspapers every week," said Legrand’s area sales manager, Eddie Caffrey. Mita wins hospital contract
Cable Management specialist, Mita, has established a presence in the medical market with an installation of its new MWU 300 medical ward unit trunking at the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. One of the world’s leading centres for eye health, The Moorfields Eye Hospital has 11 sites in London treating everything from common complaints to rare conditions. Nine one and two bed medical ward units are being installed by contractor, Balfour Kilpatrick, as part of the fit out of a new extension to the hospital. Providing facilities for gas, nurse call and power, the bed head units are being fitted in both first and second stage recovery rooms.
