ITV Granada security system is programmed for the future
ITV Granada has been equipped with a large future-proof CCTV installation by Delta Fire and Security Protection Ltd designed in conjunction with its main supplier ADI-GARDINER. Besides providing full connectivity to a network of new and existing CCTV cameras throughout the Manchester site, the project included linkage and remote operation for the two main Granada hi-tech security lodges. Delta Sales Director Scott Jones asked ADI-GARDINER to thoroughly review the existing Granada systems and create a complete plan of the changes and equipment necessary for an integrated and upgradeable system. “All the antiquated elements were removed and upgraded with the latest state-of-the-art technology from our preferred suppliers including Dedicated Micros, Dennard, BBV, NTV and Ikegami,” explains Jones. “A Cat5 cable infrastructure was installed across the site providing a reliable solution for both static and fully functional cameras. Fire and Security Association showcases at IFSEC 2007
The Fire and Security Association (FSA), the new specialist group for the fire and security industry, will be showcasing its activities at IFSEC, the world’s largest annual security exhibition, which takes place from 21-24 May 2007 at the NEC, Birmingham. The FSA will be located on stand 9075. The FSA will be using IFSEC to step up its activities to further represent the interests of contractors in the fire and security sectors of the wider electrotechnical industry. The Association will focus on lobbying, guidance and training to develop and maintain standards, particularly in light of recent legislation and regulatory reform for both fire and security. It will benefit from the established Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) platform, and will build on these existing foundations to become the voice of all those involved in the provision of electronic fire and security systems.
